Eugene Carchesio is a Brisbane-based artist and musician who has been recording since 1978, and performing since the early 1980s. He has been exhibiting since the 1980s using diverse materials on an often intimate scale; incorporating matchboxes, cardboard and graph paper as well as working in watercolour. A self-taught artist and musician, Carchesio’s choice of instruments have included saxophone, drums, electronic instruments, electric guitar, clarinet and voice. Carchesio also performs with The Deadnotes, G55, The Lost Domain and The Holy Ghosts.
