Gail Priest has performed electronic exploratory music at various national events and festivals. She has received several commissions from ABC Radio National and has been included on national and international compilations as well as releasing two CDs on her own label. In 2008–09 she participated in a residency exchange between Artspace and Tokyo Wonder Site creating and exhibiting works in both galleries. She has worked as a curator of media art and sound events including Electrofringe (2003–04) and has edited the book Experimental Music: Audio explorations in Australia (UNSW Press 2009). She will release a new CD through Endgame Records in September 2010.
An evening of heavy ecstasy with duos Mandala Trap and Machine Death. Mandala Trap is Jeff Burch (Songs) and Paul Gough (Pimmon) in a duel of epic electronic layerings and shimmering guitar. Machine Death is Ben Byrne & Ivan Lisyak who create new wave sludgecore that’s so nasty it’s sublime. Gail Priest will also perform her dirty machinic rhythms, glassy cascades and sweet tortured vocals.
