SIMON CUMMING AND SEAN KERR

SIMON CUMMING AND SEAN KERR
electronic/experimental

Simon Cumming is an Auckland-based artist who seeks to transcribe the area of uncertainty between sounds and performative response. Using hand-constructed electronic devices and consumer electronics that generate and manipulate sound, Cumming works both individually and collaboratively, and performs regularly with fellow Auckland artist Sean Kerr as CMC. He has travelled to London, England and Kobe, Japan to perform in clubs and galleries, as well as throughout New Zealand.
Sean Kerr is an artist and academic whose interests lie in the emergent area of new media technologies from the perspective of their interactive potential. These interests are incorporated into a series of creative practice projects including internet art, installation and sonic practices.
